As part of the "Unboxing Europe" project, the European Academy, together with the creative agency Ressourcenmangel and the Mercator Foundation, developed a digital toolbox with teachers from further education schools in NRW that supports course participants in learning about Europe creatively and digitally.
In addition to a lot of information on the most important EU policy areas, the innovative educational medium also offers a large selection of online tools. All you need is a smartphone - and with the help of the box, course participants themselves become critical authors, collaborative directors or creative artists. As part of the lesson, they can easily produce reports, photo creations, interviews, graphics, etc. on the EU topic that interests them most.
In this way, they not only expand their European competence, but also their digital skills. Each school can use an app to easily and quickly curate its own location-based augmented reality exhibition and invite selected guests as visitors. A wonderful example that opens up a multitude of possibilities for AR to make any type of training or school lesson more innovative, attractive and interactive. The project received the Comenius EduMedia seal as an "exemplary educational medium" in June 2023.
