As part of the international campaign for #TakeATaste, Coca-Cola Germany is transforming an entire building façade on Nollendorfplatz into a metaverse sampling machine. On behalf of the OOH specialist XI Design and the media agency GroupM, ZAUBAR developed an extraordinary AR-OOH experience.
When you scan the QR code on the façade, you start an AR game that, in conjunction with your smartphone, transforms the façade, which has been redesigned by graffiti artists, into an interactive claw machine. In the game, the participating players have to steal the Coke ZERO can from the monsters that appear in the campaign. If you succeed, you will be rewarded with a QR code that you can use to open a real drinks machine for free using your smartphone to get a Coke ZERO.
By using augmented reality and out-of-home, Coca-Cola Europe wants to set new accents in the current campaign, especially for GenZ, and make sampling more innovative.
We are delighted that the collaboration with GroupM and XI Design has been rewarded with a place on the shortlist for PlakaDiva, one of the most prestigious out-of-home awards.
